The Samsung Galaxy W is a mid-range device that offers high quality equipment and decent features for a very competitive price. The Android operating system allows for more personalized look, sound and functionality of your device.
Sometimes, however, as with all devices on the market, your phone may undergo a freeze or be the victim of another type of error, in which case you can try a hard reset to recover your device without delving deeply into the technical side of things.
Naturally, the procedure will erase all data on the phone, but it could save you a few days of waiting in a technician. So if you are stuck and want to try to solve some problems, try this:

Warning: do not manipulate the phone during the reset process and also make sure that the battery level is high before you start. A break in the middle of the process could permanently damage the unit.
Make sure your phone is off (if the power button does not respond, you will need to remove the battery).
Remove the microSD, if you use a card and the SIM card
Replace the battery and back cover
Press and hold both the POWER button, the HOME button and the VOLUME +
Samsung logo should appear on the screen of the device
Release the power button but continue to hold down the HOME button and the VOLUME + button until the Android logo appears
Release all buttons
Press the "Options" button next to the Home button
The screen should now become gray, then bring up a menu of recovery
Use the VOLUME + and VOLUME - buttons to move up and down the menu until you reach "Wipe Data / Factory Reset"
Press the Home button to confirm
